Really saying something

So busy with marking at the moment that don't have time to update this properly. Can't wait til it's done and I can clean and tidy the flat (which is not in its best state right now) and have some time to read the million library books I have on loan before getting into a summer of study.

But a few choice highlights from the past week's bunch:

- An essay done in COMIC SANS. Our survey says X.
- A dissertation with the opening word 'finally'.
- A dissertation proposal written in some language that appeared to incorporate English words, but arranged in an order I'd never encountered before, that boiled down to 'I want to be a film director and therefore for my dissertation I want to meet my idol Shane Meadows'.
- A male student saying as hisjustification for preferring Miss/Mrs over Ms: 'I like the idea of THE wife taking your name'.
- Someone claiming the term 'loose' for a sexually active person has no negative connotations.
- Someone's (hypothetical, fortunately) study proposal for exploring sex in the media being to watch all of the telly for July 1978, 1993 and 2007.

Time for a change

My blog don't live here anymore.
